Annual Spring Choral Concert Provides Sixteen Years of Tradition

(Georgetown, Texas)– The Annual Faith in Action Georgetown’s Spring Choral Concert has become a long-time tradition for many in Georgetown. Faith In Action Georgetown will present their 16th Annual Spring Choral Concert on Thursday, April 27th, at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, located at 1333 W. University Avenue in Georgetown, Texas. Doors open to the public at 6:30 pm and admission is free. The First Baptist Church “golf cart” ministry has graciously offered to provide parking lot shuttle service to assist with those who have mobility limitations.

This year’s assemblies concert lineup includes performances from Christ Lutheran, Crestview Baptist, Faith Lutheran, First Baptist Church, First United Methodist, Saving Grace Christian Bible Fellowship, Grace Episcopal, Main Street Baptist, San Gabriel Presbyterian, St John’s United Methodist, First Presbyterian and Wellspring United Methodist.

Last year over 700 people came to enjoy programs performed by choirs and musical groups from local churches. “We are so excited to be hosting this musical event once again,” Vickie Orcutt, FIAG Executive Director, said. “The concert is a Georgetown tradition for many families and we hope to break attendance records this year.” “This is Faith In Action Georgetown’s largest fundraising event of the year. We have extended service hours to provide more seniors in our community the ability to live independent. Money raised from this event will help to leverage the additional operational costs associated with providing a boarder service range and help sustain the program for future growth,” Orcutt said. “Sponsorships and donations play an integral role and is a great way to show that support.” “Our goal is to rise $16,000 at this year’s event that can directly help us to restore mobility and independence to seniors. Concert attendees are encouraged to make a contribution during the concert. All proceeds will benefit Faith in Action Georgetown (FIAG) who provides services to seniors in need.

Faith in Action Georgetown welcomes new supporters for this year’s program. Sponsors for this event will receive recognition in the concert program and on FIAG’s website as well as acknowledgement in the quarterly newsletter that is mailed to over 1,500 families. Sponsorships are available at a variety of levels: VIP ($2,500), Platinum ($1,000, Gold ($500), Silver ($250), and Bronze ($100). All contributions are tax deductible.

Faith in Action Georgetown services 600 seniors in Georgetown through volunteer services known as the “Driving Force.” For more information about the Spring Choral Concert or Faith in Action Georgetown, please give us a call at (512) 868-9544 or visit our website at www.faithinactiongt.org.
