K-5 Art Contest

The TCEQ and Samsung Austin Semiconductor invite Texas kindergarten through fifth grade students to submit their artwork depicting how they, along with their friends and family, help keep the air and water clean, conserve water and energy, and reduce waste.

The contest is open to students throughout Texas, whether they attend a public school, private school, or are home-schooled.

Students’ artwork must include the slogan “Take Care of Texas. It’s the only one we’ve got.” and portray positive ways Texans can help keep our air and water clean, conserve water and energy, and reduce waste.

One grand prize winner will receive a laptop, and 15 students will win a tablet. The teacher of the student who designs the overall best artwork will also receive a tablet.

Participants submit their artwork to the TCEQ, and each of the TCEQ’s 16 regional offices will select a winner.

Entries must be postmarked on or before March 3, 2017. For more information, visit TakeCareOfTexas.org/art-contest or e-mail educate@tceq.texas.gov.
